As someone who’s applying to dev jobs right now this thread is not helping at all

When everyone else plays dirty, you also have to just to keep up. It doesn’t excuse it but it explains why there’s a cycle of lies that never ends.
If you don’t play dirty, you won’t get elected and don’t have the chance to do actual good. So in this climate I’d take someone who lies but then actually does good any day.
