Imagine if they raised a person from a baby in a Truman show type of environment and he turned out to organically become the most racist sexist angry and unpleasant piece of shit.

This is the shit state of the world now. Everything gets accused of being AI by someone. The AI tech bros have well and truly won. They’ve poisoned everything.

Joplin self hosting seemed like a pain and it works perfectly well synchronising via WebDAV. I’d be interested in hearing how you get on.
I’ve been using Actual Budget for a couple of years and only recently started getting into slightly more functions than basic expenses recording. It’s really good to be able to have it do more as needed.

I host Tiny Tiny RSS.
The point isn’t to download content to the server at all. It’s to keep the centralised list. I host opodsync (Gpodder podcast server) for the same reason.

Read/listen to/watch philosophy content. People wiser than us over the centuries have spent their lifetimes thinking about these questions. There’s no single answer, but there are ways of thinking through this and coming to a place mentally that you can be happy with.
Personally I find Albert Camus’s flavour of absurdism to be the best way I find things to make sense. The universe is irrational and meaningless, and that’s great news. We carry on in a meaningless world and make our own meaning.
If you like podcasts then here are some great ones:
Within Reason (although he’s spending too much time in his analysis of religion, I prefer the other episodes)
Even just watching TV shows and movies helps, as long as you’re paying attention to the story of the charachters, the messages and the experiences/motives of the characters. Seeing the stories of others (even if fictional) helps put your own situation in perspective.

FYI: I’m a noob myself.
Looks fine, but if you’re looking to mess around with a first build then you could go cheaper. Secondhand hardware would save you money, especially since older hardware is great for server use. At least you’re saving money with AM4 and DDR4.
Some thoughts:
This guy makes great videos, but you have to be careful to not overcomplicate things or chase specs that pro home server guys want that make no difference to noobs.

It’s running in Docker on my Debian server: kopia.io/docs/installation/#docker-images
One HDD in my NAS is dedicated to only have encrypted backup data that Kopia creates. The same Kopia deployment can’t upload data to the cloud, so Kopia only makes local backups every night. Then Synology’s cloudsync app is scheduled to send the backed up files to a Backblaze bucket online.

Floss. Poor dental health affects overall health significantly.
Eat well. Sugar is hidden in everything and home cooked food from basic ingredients seems to be going out of style.
Keep active.
Get healthy sleep.
Meet other humans and do stuff with them.
People will do lots of other things and have small “health hacks”. But if you don’t get the basic things right then it’s not really something you can fix by taking “antioxidants” or other measures.

You’re not strange, but people like you have low visibility and are hard to find. Party animals are obviously easy to find because you’ll find them at loud and obnoxious parties.
Here’s what I can see:
Sounds like you need to figure yourself out first. Do you want company (friends? Relationship?). I think legacy is overrated, but if that’s what you want then you’ll have to figure out what that looks like for you.
Figure out how to get what you want. If you’re looking for company that isn’t loud and is more thoughtful and introspective then you’ll have to think of where these people hang out. What activity would you find most tolerable?
Wherever you go, you’re always going to have to tolerate plenty of people you don’t like and don’t click with. You’re going to have to learn how to best put up with people till you find your people.
