I waa trying and probably failing to explain to someone that no matter who you are or what you believe, one day the fascists will demand of you something you don’t want to do.
Even if you’re a cop.

Fuel contamination is a really interesting subject.

The Android Auto still works, but to be completely and embarassingly honest, I have had a car with bluetooth for ten years and I think I have only used it once. I’m just weird like that. I just put some tunes on a USB and its good enough.

I have an older EV that used 3G for app access and maybe other stuff I haven’t noticed. It still runs but I can’t do things like tell it to preheat/cool the cabin from my phone. Its not an issue for me personally, the car has a timer function, and I can just set it to cool down at x time.
But its interesting seeing abandoned protocols.

I’ve a little DJI drone and an old Matrix drone, the matrix has four 800 watt motors spinning 15" blades. You’re welcome to try and stick your hand in that one to see if you can catch it.

Wait until you find out drones are used for patrols too.

They’re not that easy to hit. I once invited someone to try hitting my camera drone with a 9mm and they couldn’t, despite all bluster and claims otherwise. it might have been easier inside a building.
But, any rounds expended toward the drone are rounds not sent to children/staff. And an FPV drone to the face even without pepper spray can mess up someone’s aim.

That’s a good starting point. Mr. Mieville’s works are weird amd dark but well written.

Oh wow I haven’t seen that movie in a while.

I have a motorcycle with heated grips, im hoping the car’s wheel is just as nice.

No, i was giving an example of something that is called by an outdated term. A Leaf is an EV, but I still call the accelerator the “gas pedal”. (Its not even the gas pedal on a modern combustion engine car, its the air pedal)
The car has a button you push to turn it on like a normal car with a pushbutton start.

I’ve no clue if I will like them or not. This car I have now is the first I’ve had with heated seats and steering wheel, I’ve only turned them on to see if they work, because every day since I bought the car has been over 90°F/32°C.

I didn’t think of that but… I dont go out to eat much anymore.

Sort of like the gas pedal in my leaf.

My car has a timer to set the cabin at a given temperature by a given time, do you know if your car has a function like that?

I was mentioning this issue with my weird little car in another thread.
My car is old enough that it uses a 3g radio to connect to the internet so that things like the NissanConnect app will work. I don’t know how many 3g towers there are, but the app functionality definitely doesn’t work. The rest of the car works fine, all the accessories work, but the app doesn’t.
The car is a 2018, which i think is before the push for subscription heated seats.
