Latest windows update stole some of my system sounds, as well as toggle keys. It also made headphone audio behave very loud and compressed, added slight reverb and only goes back to normal after unplugging and reconnecting headphones.
The update did not touch audio, no Realtek driver was updated, but it's windows, so...

Do not waste time saying 'Just use Linux.'
Not happening.
@FreakyFwoof Totally agree, I had a brief spell where Treehouse Radio and everything related to it was on it's own server rather than being hosted, fucking nightmare.
@darrenhartland For servers, Linux is the way to go but me having a windows update issue, saying 'Just use Linux' is fucking not the answer.
@FreakyFwoof @darrenhartland I do use Linux at home, but often my Windows Whinings are about work's computer where I can't use Linux, wouldn't want to, and don't get the choice about using horrible Microsoft Products that are now flakier than ever (I suspect they are vibecoding now).
@FreakyFwoof Don't use Linux.
@lerven Happy to *not* do that, yep.
@FreakyFwoof Just don't use a computer running any OS other than the one that starts with L, contains an u, i and n in the middle and ends with an x. :P
@jonathan859 Hahaha I shall take that under advisement.
@FreakyFwoof This so this!
