A film photographer and print maker living in Seattle. I write about the process of restoring and using very old cameras to make analog prints from film images in my home darkroom.

I could use some help debugging this switch mode power supply from a Screen 1030ai Drum Scanner. Would love some boosts.

All fuses are good, esr of all caps are good, rectifier is good (diode test and output voltage), no shorted or open resistors, no obvious signs of damage.

The power supply turns on briefly, then turns off (on all output voltages). Which seems like a protection circuit type fault. But I can’t find any documentation on the power supply. At this point my next best bet would be to start pulling capacitors to see if I could find a bad one, but not having any really good theories is bugging me.

If you or anyone you know have some ideas of what I should test next let me know!
