EngadgetMeta launches new Facebook Verified badge for actual, real humans - EngadgetMeta is trying to tackle scammers that are using generative AI by introducing a new kind of verification using user selfies.
The cynical part of me thinks that there is a different reason for implementing this, and that any bot that drives engagement is valuable to the platform owners.
My LiveJournal account is 25 years old as of last week. I’m just going to go back to that for social media.
What are they gonna do, accuse me of being too old for social media?
