Well… I think I would feel kind of relieved in a way, because why else on earth would my own mother be so painfully cartoonishly cruel but to add drama to the plot? To know that it was for entertainment, that it was scripted, that it was someone’s invention would be less horrifying than to know that she actually chose to behave like she did (and still does).

I am in a better place now and have healed most of it, going no contact saved my life.

We are living it. Right now. Each and every one of us with a phone in our pocket. Except we don’t have paid actors doing the work. Everyone is volunteering to post everything that goes on in our world around us and broadcast it.

“The man held the brightest star in the sky one morning. Then just went to work.”

actually i do sometimes think that life is in some sense a drama (theater stage), and what we perform is often at least as important as what we actually do in reality.

i.e. there’s a whole lot of symbolic interactions throughout the day. for example every time that we speak to someone. it doesn’t change reality, but another person’s mind, so it’s a symbolic interaction.
