If only that were true. To many people are addicted to google to ever give up chrome/chromium without a series of catastrophic fuckups from google.

IIRC the hardest thing about PS3 emulation was the fact that Cell was an 8 core cpu, and at the time of PS3’s release, single core CPUs were still very dominant, and even years after the PS3s release only dual core CPUs had become a thing, with the bleeding edge just getting into 4 cores.

its nvidia and AI creating a bubble on the belief they’ll be able to get profit and get out before it pops.
But all it is… is imaginary money going around in circles. nvidia invests a trillion in AI, AI buys a trillion dollars of nvidia videocards from some nebulous point in the future where they arent made yet, nvidia invests that trillion back into AI, AI uses it to buy ridiculous amounts of ram that wont be made for years, RAM invests it back into AI, and on and on they go, generating imaginary money and value, by buying imaginary things.
under a sane government this would be investigated as raw stock manipulation and fraud
I really hope when this bubble pops nvidia is destroyed in the process along with the AI companies.

The problem is the changes are fuckawful terrible for everyone and everything.

There has got to be a lawsuit against this shit.
There was a massive lawsuit for simply including IE in the install as default, and this is 100 times worse than that.

Sort of the joke in this. Crime in western countries has declined as police hyper-surveillance has increased
Crime has been on a significant downturn ever since lead was removed from gasoline, and thus stopped being vaporized in the air.
Are there places where crime spikes upward? yes, but almost 100% of the time thats caused by the failure of local, state, or federal governments creating disadvantaged, poor, underserviced people. . and you treat people poorly and keep them desperate long enough, then crime is going to occur.
They’ll happily spend millions on the crime part, but they wont even acknowledge the underlying issue that could be addressed for far less than what oppression costs.

You think authorities wouldnt be on prime time news gloating about stopping attacks before they happened and justifying the privacy destroying bullshit they use as a necessary sacrifice for safety?

yeah.
Its amazing how they never once stopped an actual act of violence, but someone venting about a stressful day gets a full swat deployment.

nvidia gives a trillion dollars to AI, AI buys a trillion dollars of future, currently unmade video cards to run the AI, nvidia gives AI another trillion dollars, AI buys another trillion dollars of unmade future cards, etc etc etc.
Its the biggest, highest energy economic ouroborus I’ve ever seen.
I cant see how nvidia survives the pop, and quite frankly, I’d be glad to see nvidia die. its been dragging the GPU market in bad directions for a decade+ now and I think it’d be better to be free of its influence… and it’d open the door to new players to step up and competition again.

why is any critical control equipment internet accessible.
I understand some machines might need internet to send reports and make document filings and shit. But it should not be the critical control equipment that makes the system function. And there should be a massive physical gap between the internet machines and the critical machines.
Jesus christ, even by the abysmally low bar I have for humanity, it still finds ways to dig itself a path under it.

They don’t want people knowing they are being recorded.
A gopro or a phone held up is basically an indicator of recording happening, which people can choose to avoid if they want to.
But pervert glasses don’t hold up that signal, and the pathetic attempt to make a signal (the LED) is easily covered or otherwise bypassed so you can creep on people without them ever knowing.

Bullshit.
The general public always had that information. Its why I’ve personally hated him since the fucking 90s. Since fucking paypal he was known as a cunt. Same with Peter Thiel.
People just put blinders on because they got big boners over electric cars and martian habitats. Cause thats the real issue here. Its not that people didnt know, Its that people willfully ignored, as they always do, because they wanted their neat shinies. Unfortunately for them, Musks miserable, worthless, cunt behavior continued to grow and get worse until they couldnt maintain their willful ignorance… The same willful ignorance that they now try to hide behind to pretend they didnt know what he was, to justify giving him the money to become what he is.
If you didnt know what a piece of shit he was, its because you averted your eyes, because the information has always fucking been there, willfully ignored, but its fucking been there.

The much more sensible approach is to either have a separate phobe for travelling, that has nothing you care about on it
and people have gotten in trouble for that, too, for having a travel phone, a phone that was too clean, etc etc.
Because its not about the phone. Its about stealing data. pictures for facial recognition, contacts so they can map groups, communications so they can search for whatever bullshit excuse they want to string people up.
This isnt about law. its not about protection people/the country.
Its about being fascist dicks to undesirable groups of people. Aint seen one motherfucker on the epstein list, one motherfucking CEO, or any trump cockface have their phone seized by border patrol to steal any data.
